Solid-Wheel Skate Skis
Lightweight, inexpensive skis for smooth pavement only.
No shock absorption or vibration damping.
Features: Solid rubber or urethane wheels; rigid aluminum shafts; ski boots required; brake options available
for skiing in traffic and for downhill descents.
Flexible-Shaft Skate Skis
Higher-quality lightweight skis for smooth to slightly rough pavement.
Improved on-snow feel. Excellent vibration damping, but little or no shock absorption.
Features: Solid rubber wheels; flexible carbon-fiber shafts; ski boots required; brake options available.

Inflatable-Tire Skate & Combi Skis
High-quality, heavier skis for smooth pavement, rough pavement, dirt, gravel and crushed stone surfaces.
Excellent shock absorption and vibration damping. Safe to use in traffic, and on downhills of any length and steepness.
Features: Pneumatic wheels; rigid aluminum shafts; ski boots required; brakes included in Mini-Package.
Inflatable-Tire Skate & Combi - No Boots Needed!
High-quality, heavier skis for smooth and rough pavement, dirt, gravel and crushed stone surfaces.

Excellent shock absorption and vibration damping. Safe to use in traffic, and on short, gradual downhills.
Features: Pneumatic wheels; rigid aluminum shafts; use ordinary shoes; brakes included in Mini-Package.

Solid-Wheel Skate Skis
Solid-wheel skis with rigid aluminum shafts are inexpensive, but they perform well on smooth pavement only.
If the road or trail surface is too rough for rollerblading, we recommend Flexible-Shaft or Inflatable-Tire roller skis.
An emergency brake is recommended for skiing in traffic, and for short, gradual downhills.
Speed reducers are required for downhills that are either long or steep.
Of the models listed below, the V2 XL98SL has the best-performing speed reducers and emergency brake.

Flexible-Shaft Skate Skis
Solid-wheel skis with flexible carbon-fiber shafts are preferred by elite ski racers
because they simulate the flexing of a cross-country ski on snow -
and they offer vibration damping and shock absorption on rougher paved surfaces.
For unpaved surfaces like dirt, gravel and crushed stone, we recommend Inflatable-Tire roller skis.
An emergency brake is recommended for skiing in traffic, and for short, gradual downhills.
Speed reducers are required for downhills that are either long or steep.
Of the models listed below, only the V2 XL98R can be equipped with speed reducers and an emergency brake.

Inflatable-Tire Skate & Combi Skis
Skis with 5" or 6" inflatable rubber tires are the safest, most comfortable and most versatile.
Designed primarily for recreational skiers who might ski an occasional race, these skis are required for dirt, gravel
or crushed stone roads and trails - but they perform equally well on smooth and rough pavement.
An emergency brake is recommended for skiing in traffic, and for short, gradual downhills.
Speed reducers are required for downhills if they are long or steep.
Outrigger wheels are required for classic technique.
