Advantages.
Exel roller ski poles have 3 big advantages over conventional poles:
1. Ferrules clip on and off the pole shaft. No more pole glue!
2. Exel's Suspension Tip Ferrule contains a spring-loaded piston that protects your shoulders from road shock when skiing on pavement.
3. An interchangeable Rubber Spike Tip Ferrule is also available for skiing on extra-hard surfaces such as concrete.
Specs & Prices
All Exel poles come with wrist-cushioning "race straps". Race straps are wider than conventional loop straps. They velcro around the back of your wrist, helping to reduce the stress of poling.
All shafts are carbon/fiberglass composite. The B1 has the highest carbon content and the best stiffness-to-weight ratio.
The Tour pole has the least carbon.
B1, B2 and B3 poles have a special fitting at the bottom of the pole shaft, so you can clip on either a suspension tip or a rubber spike tip.
B4, Kick and Tour poles have standard roller ski ferrules glued onto the bottom of the shaft.
All models are available in lengths from 130 cm to 180 cm.
B3 poles come in 2.5cm (1") increments.
All others come in 5cm (2") increments.
